ganapatayei:

Son of Shakti

Ganesha is often compared to Shiva—he is nicknamed “Son of Shiva” and he is best known for being Shiva’s messenger and also the general of Shiva’s armies.

However, it is too often overlooked that his mother—and his creator—was Mother Parvati, The Goddess.

As you may know Ganesha was molded by clay and brought to life by the breath of the Goddess—this was done while Shiva was away on meditation.

Through Ganesha—one can find the fierce-warrior presence of Shiva but also, the warm and compassionate presence of The Goddess.

Jai Ma! Jai Ganesha! Jai Mahadeva!
